How to Choose the Right Used Paraglider
Buying a used paraglider can save you a lot of money – but only if you know what you're looking for. Here's a quick guide to help you choose the right second-hand wing without risking safety or performance.
🧠 Know your level
Be honest about your experience.
If you're a beginner, don’t buy a high-performance wing, even if it’s a bargain. Stick to EN A or low EN B wings – they’re forgiving, stable, and made to help you learn safely.
📆 Understand wing age and condition
Most gliders are considered airworthy for about 300 hours or 5 to 8 years.
Older wings can still fly safely, but condition is more important than age. Always check: 📄 Valid technical check
⏱️ Number of hours flown
🛠️ Any repairs or damage
🌞 How it was stored (UV kills fabric!)
In this shop, I include all that info clearly in every listing.
📏 Choose the right size
Make sure the wing fits your takeoff weight – that includes your gear, clothes, harness, reserve...
If you're unsure, message me. I’ll help you pick the right size for your weight and flying goals.
🤝 Buy from trusted sources
Facebook deals can be tempting, but they can also go wrong.
When you buy from someone who inspects gear professionally – like an instructor or official dealer – you're getting peace of mind.
Every glider in this shop is personally inspected by me and described exactly as it is. No surprises.
⏳ Final tip: don’t rush
It’s easy to get excited when you find a good deal. But take a breath, ask questions, and make sure it really fits your needs.
